3DD sells true crime series MURDER MAPS
3DD’s Murder Maps produced for UKTV, Foxtel Australia and Netflix, has secured new deals prior to MIPCOM in October
Germany’s ZDF-Info, US public television service APT and Viasat World for its Scandinavia, Africa & Central European services, have all acquired this popular crime series that features some of London’s most grisly murders including John Christie, Dr Crippen and The Blackout Killer.
The one hour episodes are presented by Nicholas Day, which tells each story through re-enactment, experts in their field and archive.
The series is released on Netflix in the USA, Canada, Germany, South Africa and India.
The latest series (4x60), has completed and will air in the UK in October. Episodes include The Brighton Trunk Murders, The Towpath Murders, The Acid Bath Murder and the iconic story of Ruth Ellis the last woman to be hanged in the United Kingdom which led to the abolition of the death penalty in the UK ten years later
The new season will on air worldwide from November 2017
