Discovering Guns N Roses

It’s not every band that closes their debut album with the authentic orgasmic moans of their drummer’s girlfriend, recorded cheating on him with the lead singer. But this was Guns N’s Roses, “the most dangerous band in the world”, and whose debauchery and, let’s be clear, rather thrilling records, saw them lord it over their contemporaries for yonks. (Who else could keep their public waiting 14 years for one album, without haemorrhaging their entire fanbase?) It’s all here: the drug, the feuds, the hair.
