SoundClash, is the new weekly one hour music programme starting on the London Live service.
The 24/7 entertainment channel for London have commissioned 3DD Productions to produce a 12 week run on the channel’s ‘Big Night In’ strand.
‘Big Night In’ is the channels entertainment strand, it will reflect the energy of the capital’s night life.
The range of music featured will cover the spectrum from pop and urban acts to the return of some of the newer indie rock names. 3DD’s Series Producer Jess Eldridge and Executive Producer Dominic Saville have been working closely to develop this new show with London Live Music Programme commissioner Lorna Cole. The deal was signed in February.
Lorna Cole, London Live Commissioner Said: ‘It feels like terrestrial TV schedules have been crying out for a music show for some time. London Live wants to bring the vibrancy of the scene in the capital to peak-time programming. If music is the heartbeat of the city, we hope fans and artists alike will view SoundClash as the pulse.’
Jess said “There is a real appetite for a weekly music show which reflects the ever evolving face of the UK music scene. London has always led the way in breaking new talent and providing a thriving environment to showcase artists both big and small from every genre. SoundClash aims to capture that energy with the hottest performances and interviews of the moment to give a real sense of what’s going on right now”
SoundClash can be viewed on the channel from April 2014. The programme will be hosted by Capital Radio’s Pandora Christie and will feature performances, interviews and special features on and around the London music scene.
